Our Commitment to Transparency
At the Traveling Rainbow Bridge Foundation, we believe trust begins with openness. While the Traveling Rainbow Bridge is a new and ambitious initiative, our nonprofit roots go back much further.
Our History
We are a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, originally founded in 2017 under the name Colorful Dog Corporation. In our early years, we focused full-time on developing technologies to support animal welfare causes. During that time, we did not actively seek public donations.
Over time, our vision evolved. We realized that the best way to fulfill our mission of "Less Animal Stress" was to shift from building tools to building impact — by serving as a fundraising vehicle that supports a wide range of animal welfare efforts. This change allows us to stay flexible and respond quickly to the needs of animals, wherever and whenever they arise.
Honoring Puppy, Helping Others
In December 2024, we lost our beloved dog, Puppy. Grieving her loss became the turning point that inspired us to reinvent our nonprofit into something meaningful—not just for us, but for others who've experienced the same heartbreak.
The Traveling Rainbow Bridge was born out of that love. It's a way to honor the pets we've lost while creating a lasting impact for animals in need. We're building something that travels the country—and touches hearts along the way.
Initial Goals
- Purchase land to establish a wildlife sanctuary and nature preserve, which will serve as the home base for the Traveling Rainbow Bridge when not on tour
- Finalize the design of the physical rainbow bridge and the immersive digital Story Wall
- Build the Traveling Rainbow Bridge structure
- Establish logistics for transport, setup, and tear-down
- Begin scheduling tour stops around the country
How We're Funded
Today, we spend the majority of our time working on the nonprofit, but we currently earn our living selling pet ID tags online. As we grow, our goal is to transition fully to the Traveling Rainbow Bridge Foundation as our sole focus.
To do that, we will eventually receive a salary from the nonprofit. In the early stages, this may result in a higher percentage of funds going toward salaries. However, as donations increase and the organization scales, that percentage will decrease significantly—while the impact we create for animals continues to grow.
We're committed to building something that lasts—and to doing it transparently, responsibly, and with the same love that inspired it.
